Seats of war

A large formation operational strategy set during conflicts of the 18th and 19th Centuries. In this game series where each title is its own complete game, players will seek to achieve their limited objectives in the given timeframe through maneuver of forces, maintaining supply lines, laying siege to enemy strongholds, and battling enemy formations. The game leverages Blocks but employs a unique combat system that abstracts and removes the need for combat resolution tables by utilizing color coded dice, this is combined with mechanics that resolve combat without such absolute attritional losses so that these large formations can absorb limited losses and recover allowing them to remain in the theatre of operations, regroup, be reinforced, concentrate with other forces, and battle again which creates an interesting “cat and mouse” experience along with more individualized corps that have personality without the need for separate generals or homogenous strength points or combat units.
